BREAKING: Andy Biggs and David Schweikert Finally Stand Up to Washington

4/1/26, 8:00 PM

April Fools!

We regret to inform you that neither Andy Biggs nor David Schweikert has ever stood up to their party’s failures in Washington.

Here are three ways that Biggs and Schweikert are selling out Arizonans to their DC handlers right now:

  • TARIFF TAXES: Biggs and Schweikert voted twice this year to protect Donald Trump’s illegal tariffs. When Trump responded to the court’s decision by imposing a universal 15 percent tariff, Biggs remained silent while Schweikert proudly proposed a new “universal tariff,” stating that he wouldn’t “let this whole tariff thing fall apart.” This caused American households to pay an extra $1,700 in 2025, while Arizona small businesses continue to reel from operating costs that are up to 900 percent higher.

  • RIPPING AWAY HEALTHCARE: Both Biggs and Schweikert championed the partisan budget law that stripped healthcare tax credits away from 423,000 Arizonans. They also voted for the largest cut to Medicaid in modern history, threatening the coverage of 365,000 Arizonans and putting multiple rural hospitals at risk of closure. As a result, healthcare premiums jumped by nearly 30 percent. Additionally, Biggs and Schweikert voted against the bipartisan effort to reverse the damage and lower costs. Biggs called the DC budget a “good thing,” and Schweikert bragged that he personally “co-wrote” this “historic” bill that raised healthcare costs for Arizona families in order to give billionaires tax breaks.

  • PROTECTING PEDOPHILES: Biggs voted against a bipartisan majority on the House Oversight Committee to subpoena Pam Bondi. He was one of only two members of the same committee who voted against the initial bipartisan effort to release the Epstein files. Biggs and Schweikert have repeatedly voted against efforts to make the records public, and both remained completely silent after reports revealed the Department of Justice did not release the full Epstein case files and withheld files that mention Donald Trump. Biggs dismissed accountability as a “‘gotcha' game,” a “ploy,” and “PR stunt.” Schweikert called the Epstein files a “shiny object” and argued that this issue, of whether to stand up for survivors of sexual abuse, does not represent “a threat to society.”

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

“Rising costs aren’t an April Fool’s joke for Arizonans – and neither is the damage Andy Biggs and David Schweikert have done by backing Washington’s cost-hiking agenda that’s forcing Arizonans to pay the price at the checkout lane, doctor’s office, and gas pump. If they can’t stand up to the Washington swamp, why would anyone trust them to stand up for Arizona?”
