With Healthcare Costs Set to Spike for 400,000 Arizonans, Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson Stay Silent

9/26/25, 6:30 PM

A new report from AZ Mirror details how nearly 400,000 Arizonans are staring down higher healthcare premiums as ACA tax credits are set to expire at the end of 2025. These higher premiums are a direct result of disastrous economic policies backed by Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson, including a partisan Washington budget that would gut Medicaid and rip coverage from 365,000 Arizonans, as well as tariffs that are already slated to cause premium costs to inflate up to 55 percent next year.

The report continues: “Without tax credits, Americans who previously relied on them could see their premiums jump more than 80% next year, straining the budgets of people already dealing with high inflation and rising cost of living. Health care advocates fear that could lead to people foregoing coverage rather than pay the elevated premiums, resulting in more emergency room visits and increasing the cost of the health care system for everyone, including those who have private health insurance through their employers, as hospitals absorb more costs.”

Despite supporting the disastrous budget that is causing this crisis, Biggs and Taylor Robson refuse to lift a finger to protect Arizona families from skyrocketing premiums.

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

“Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson own the higher healthcare costs Arizonans will face because they refuse to stand up for families. Arizonans deserve leaders who will fight to lower costs, unlike Biggs and Taylor Robson, who put their loyalty to Washington ahead of Arizona.”
