Five Days, Five Ways That Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson Are Out-of-Touch With Arizonans: Crippling Rural Healthcare

8/6/25, 12:00 PM

Copper State War Room is continuing its first full week of the “Five Days, Five Ways” press series spotlighting how Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson have failed Arizona. Day Three: Both GOP candidates backed a partisan budget that would decimate healthcare in rural communities—just to fund tax breaks for billionaires.

Specifically, Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson continue to support the federal GOP budget that will not only cause up to 365,000 Arizonans to lose healthcare coverage but also could force five of Arizona’s rural hospitals to shut their doors. Nearly half of rural hospitals already operate at a loss. If they close, insurance premiums in rural areas could double or triple, making it harder for families to make ends meet.

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

“Sweepstakes-winner Andy Biggs and billionaire Karrin Taylor Robson are backing a plan that guts rural healthcare, and Arizona families will pay the price — losing jobs, facing higher medical costs, and driving hours for care. They couldn’t care less about the consequences because all they care about is pleasing Trump, no matter how many Arizonans get hurt.”The Copper State War Room will continue highlighting five key ways Biggs and Taylor Robson are out of step with Arizona voters throughout the week. If you missed the earlier editions, you can find them here: Day One: Ripping Away Healthcare, Day Two: Raising Taxes, Hiking Costs.
