Arizona Businesses Hit With New 15 Percent Tariffs as Biggs and Schweikert Refuse To Act

After the Supreme Court ruled against Trump’s sweeping tariffs, relief for Arizona small businesses was short-lived. But Biggs and Schweikert had already voted twice this month to keep those cost hikes in place, and when Trump responded with at first 10 percent and now 15 percent tariffs, they refused to stand up to stop them.
Arizona businesses were already reeling from tariff-driven cost increases:
Gustavo Acosta, President of the Nogales Customers Broker Association, said tariffs have killed small businesses in Nogales.
A computer business absorbed operating cost-hikes of up to 20 percent.
One Phoenix arts and crafts business reported a staggering 900 percent increase in tariffs from 2024 to 2025.
With new 15 percent tariffs, Arizona businesses are stuck on a tariff rollercoaster, forced to plan for higher costs and continued uncertainty as Biggs and Schweikert refuse to lift a finger to help.
Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:
“Every time Andy Biggs and David Schweikert back cost-hiking tariffs, they turn their backs on Arizona businesses and workers. From florists to manufacturers, Arizonans continue to pay the price for these chaotic tariffs, and Biggs and Schweikert are standing in lock-step behind a cost-hiking agenda.”
