Andy Biggs has repeatedly voted for the cost-hiking agenda that is driving up utility prices, including air conditioning, for Arizona families.

• Andy Biggs voted for the Washington budget that independent analysts say will increase annual household energy bills – including electricity and utility costs for Arizona families – by a combined $170 billion nationwide over the next decade.

• Arizona families face an increase of up to 30 percent on their electricity bills because of federal steel, aluminum, and raw material tariffs that Biggs voted to protect and expand.

• Tariffs raise the cost of maintaining, constructing, and repairing power grids, causing experts to warn that “every time you put tariffs on aluminum or steel, that raises electricity costs,” which are subsequently passed on to families and businesses. 

Biggs voted to protect and expand Washington’s cost-hiking tariffs, calling them “a brilliant economic strategy.” He has claimed that there is "no inflation," said that the tariffs were “not inflationary,” and argued that Washington has “tamed inflation” and “brought everything back down.”
