REMINDER: Trump’s “Favorite Word Is Tariff” and Andy Biggs Voted for Them Every Single Time

10/16/26, 6:00 PM

On Wednesday, Andy Biggs joined President Donald Trump on stage in Bullhead City, Arizona, where the President continued to brag about raising Arizonans’ gas, grocery, and healthcare costs to all-time highs.

On stage, Trump said, “My favorite word is tariff,” bragging about his Washington cost-hiking agenda. Arizona’s business leaders have repeatedly said that tariffs are a tax on families and small businesses that are “transferred down to the consumer,” ultimately having a “damaging effect on the economy here in Arizona,” costing households $2,200 and counting.

Despite this, Biggs voted to protect and wanted to expand Washington tariffs, calling them "a brilliant economic strategy." As Arizonans face rising costs at the checkout counter, Biggs has falsely claimed there is "no inflation," insisted the tariffs are "not inflationary," and argued Washington has "tamed inflation" and "brought everything back down."

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

“Andy Biggs must agree with Donald Trump that ‘tariff’ is his favorite word, because he’s just as obsessed with defending them, even calling them ‘brilliant.’ Biggs has voted time and again to protect Washington’s cost-hiking tariffs, even as Arizona families and small businesses are stuck paying the price.”
