Five Questions for Andy Biggs Ahead of Today’s Rally

7/31/26, 9:00 PM

Fresh off a nightmare first week since his messy gubernatorial primary, Andy Biggs is hosting a rally to introduce a new extremist who has to carry water for his dangerous record: protecting a corrupt pedophile cult, opposing investments in child safety, denying the will of Arizona voters, and pushing Washington’s cost-hiking agenda onto Arizonans. Biggs has made it a habit of dodging questions about his extremist record. Here are five questions Arizonans deserve answers to:

  1. Why do you protect pedophiles over their victims, some as young as nine years old? As Arizona Senate President, you blocked bipartisan legislation protecting girls as young as nine from sexual abuse and forced child marriage — siding with an extremist cult over its child victims. You also were one of only two lawmakers who voted against a bipartisan effort to release the Epstein files in committee.

  1. Are the high costs Arizonans are paying because of the war in Iran worth it? You voted for the war in Iran for a fourth straight time, despite record-high gas prices and cost hikes on the entire supply chain, saying you are more concerned about a political “gotcha” that could “embarrass the president” than lowering costs for Arizona families.

  1. Why do you want to raise taxes on working Arizonans and why do you insist there is “no inflation”? You have repeatedly backed a 23 percent sales tax hike, as both a state legislator and congressman, and called it “your biggest passion.” You’ve also said tariffs are “not inflationary,” and claimed Washington has “tamed inflation” and “brought everything back down,” even as Arizona families face record rising costs.

  1. Did Gov. Katie Hobbs legitimately win the 2022 election? Did Trump lose in 2020? You've refused to acknowledge who won in 2022, gave Arizona's Family a 45-second non-answer, and dodged it again on KTAR. You've also continued to deny the results of the 2020 election and wouldn't commit to accepting the outcome in 2026, saying only if "it's fair and honest."

  1. Why do national Republicans who spent millions supporting Kari Lake think she is a stronger candidate than you? You abandoned Arizonans on Election Day to fly to Aspen and beg Washington special interests for cash. At this point in 2022, the Republican Governors Association had already pledged to spend $10 million on Lake’s behalf, but this cycle, the RGA won’t even commit a dime to your campaign.
