Copper State War Room Launches “Basement Biggs,” Exposing the Toxic Record Andy Biggs Is Trying To Hide From Arizonans
6/2/26, 3:00 PM
Today, Copper State War Room launched "Basement Biggs,” a website exposing Andy Biggs’ long and well-documented record of refusing to answer questions about his extremism and votes to hurt Arizonans.
Even members of his own party are calling out Andy Biggs for hiding from tough questions. Conservative voices have blasted his weak, invisible campaign, with one caller into a conservative radio show saying, “Has anybody heard from Andy Biggs? Remember him?” A conservative talk radio host mocked Biggs for hiding from voters, warning, “You [Biggs] have to be out there,” before asking, “Are you sure Andy Biggs is running for governor? Because I'm not.”
But the real reason Republicans have caught onto Basement Biggs is simple: as one Republican put it, Biggs’ “poor legislative record” is “an even tougher sell” to voters.
Read more about how Basement Biggs won’t answer for his dangerous record:
When the Arizona Republic asked why Andy Biggs associated with white supremacists and antisemites, his campaign “did not answer a question” about it.
When asked to explain his admiration for Confederate General Robert E. Lee, Biggs declined to comment on camera.
After new audio surfaced of Biggs defending tariffs as “not inflationary,” Biggs "did not respond to a request for comment.”
When Arizona business owners warned tariffs were “clobbering” their companies and forcing them to raise prices, Biggs again “did not respond to a request for comment.”
After praising a Republican budget that cuts wildfire response and child safety services while giving tax breaks to billionaires, Biggs “wouldn’t elaborate.”
When asked whether Katie Hobbs beat Kari Lake in 2022, Biggs “wouldn’t say.”
And after being linked to efforts surrounding January 6, Biggs refused to comply with a congressional subpoena.
When asked to condemn Mark Lamb for disturbing allegations, Biggs “did not return a request for comment.”
Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:
“Andy Biggs is hiding from Arizonans for one simple reason: he’s scared to answer for his toxic legislative record and extreme positions. Basement Biggs cannot hide from his dangerous record forever, which is why he must answer for backing cost-hiking tariffs, refusing to condemn extremists, and dodging basic questions about who won Arizona elections and his own role in the January 6 insurrection.”
