Copper State Chaos: (January) Sixth Man, Andy’s Forever War, Republicans Bail on Biggs

This week, Andy Biggs once again showed Arizonans exactly who he is—and why he can't be trusted to put Arizona first.

(JANUARY) SIXTH MAN: Andy Biggs' anti-law enforcement record was front and center this week after he was pressed on why he twice voted against honoring the police officers who defended the Capitol on January 6. He responded by blaming Democrats for politicizing the event. The next day on Arizona PBS, he lied that he "didn't help plan" January 6, but admitted his vote against certifying Arizona's 2020 election results was what he "felt was appropriate." Biggs also sought a presidential pardon, ignored a congressional subpoena, and was credited by organizer Ali Alexander as one of "the four guys who came up with a January 6 event." In August, he was fact-checked after lying about his support for blanket pardons of violent, cop-assaulting criminals.

ANDY’S FOREVER WAR: On Monday, Andy Biggs was asked on NEWSMAX2's First Edition why he voted six times against ending U.S. involvement in the war in Iran. Last week, he was fact-checked for falsely claiming, "I don't support the war," and daring reporters to "tell me when I voted for it once," which 12News, Arizona's Family, and the Arizona Capitol Times then did. On Wednesday, he tried to convince Arizonans that "gas prices already dropped," a line he has repeated for months, even though seven months into the war, Arizona's average gas price is $4.77 for regular and $6.30 for diesel.

REPUBLICANS BAIL ON BIGGS: On Thursday, KTAR’s Bruce and Gaydos spoke about how Arizona Republicans are refusing to appear on air, over and over again, because Andy Biggs “is just too far gone” and “is going to lose.” Biggs surrogates have canceled mere hours before a broadcast because they're embarrassed to defend the Washington politics tanking Biggs’ campaign. This follows “a horrible week for Republicans,” as Biggs continues to try to demonstrate “proof of life” for his "lackluster" campaign that has been characterized as “floundering,” “underwater,” and “desperate.”
