“Floundering” Andy Biggs Fact-Checked About His Support of Violent Rioters Who Assaulted Law Enforcement

This weekend on 12News’ Sunday Square Off, host Brahm Resnik recapped his recent interview with a “combative” Andy Biggs about Biggs’ support for a blanket pardon of January 6 rioters, including those who assaulted police officers.

Multiple news outlets caught Biggs blatantly, egregiously lying. On 12News, the host put up Biggs’ own tweets on air. At the time, it was widely reported that Biggs was “outside the D.C. jail on Jan. 21, 2025, as pardoned defendants were released.”

The host characterized Biggs’ disaster of a campaign as “floundering,” further questioning if Biggs “can get it together.” Another panelist described Biggs’ campaign as “underwater” and “desperate.”

Republican leaders have expressed concern for Biggs’ weak campaign and poor statewide appeal. Former GOP Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy said he doesn’t believe Biggs “could cut across and get moderates,” while former Republican Gov. Jan Brewer said that independents would “never” back Biggs and warned that if “Andy wins, we lose the general [election].”

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

“Andy Biggs’ floundering campaign has gotten so desperate that he’s now lying about his own record, even when the receipts are public for everyone to see. Arizonans know exactly who Biggs is: an extreme Washington partisan whose toxic agenda would hurt working families and make us all less safe.”
