ROLL THE TAPE: Andy Biggs Brutally Fact-Checked for Voting Six Times for War in Iran
9/24/26, 1:00 PM
On Tuesday, Andy Biggs held a rare campaign press conference where he was pressed on rising fuel costs and falsely claimed ,“I don’t support the war,” and challenged reporters to “tell me when I voted for it once.”
The record shows Biggs voted six times against a House resolution directing the president to withdraw U.S. forces from hostilities in Iran - including as recently as last week. 12News, Arizona’s Family, and Arizona Capitol Times, all highlighted those votes after Biggs challenged reporters to identify even one.
When reporters confronted Biggs with his voting record, the exchange grew heated and Biggs ended the press conference early.
Arizona diesel continues to reach all-time highs, causing immense frustration among families and businesses, especially in Arizona’s trucking, shipping, and logistics industries. The war in Iran has cost Arizona households $1,650 and counting.
Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:
“Andy Biggs is desperately trying to run from his support for the War in Iran because it’s deeply unpopular and hurting families and businesses every single day. No matter how much he lies now, the reality is Biggs voted has six times against ending U.S. involvement in the war in Iran and that’s exactly why the high price of gas and diesel continues to crush Arizonans.”
