REMINDER: Andy Biggs Voted Six Times for All-Time High Fuel Costs

9/16/26, 4:30 PM

Last night, Andy Biggs sided with Washington for the sixth time since March to vote for higher fuel costs on Arizonans and to keep the U.S. at war in Iran.

Arizonans are paying the price. This week, Arizona diesel hit an all-time high exceeding $6.30 per gallon. Last week, diesel prices topped $6 nationally for the first time ever. The war in Iran has cost Arizona households $1,650 and counting.

Even after admitting fuel costs were climbing, Biggs said he was more worried about avoiding a political misstep that might embarrass the president than about easing the burden on Arizona families.

Three months ago, Biggs told Arizona's Family he believed there was "an incredibly high likelihood that this [war in Iran] gets resolved in the next few weeks." Instead, the war recently passed the six-month mark, and as one local FOX10 anchor put it, "tens of billions of dollars later, there's no end in sight."

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

“Andy Biggs had six chances to lower costs for Arizona families, and six times he chose to raise them instead. Now Arizonans are paying the price because Biggs worries more about protecting Washington than his own constituents.”
