Copper State Chaos: Decade-Long Dodge; The Cost of War; Biggs Flunks Bipartisanship

8/14/26, 2:00 PM

Welcome to Copper State Chaos, Copper State War Room's weekly recap of the extremism, chaos, and out-of-touch agenda Andy Biggs is bringing to the general election.

The primary may be over, but the chaos isn't. This week, Andy Biggs once again showed Arizonans exactly who he is—and why he can't be trusted to put Arizona first.

Don’t miss this week’s chaos:

DECADE-LONG DODGE: Arizona's Family this week spotlighted Andy Biggs' record as Arizona Senate president, where he blocked bipartisan legislation that would have protected girls as young as nine from sexual abuse and forced child marriage. Asked why he protected the Colorado City pedophile cult, Biggs deflected, claiming he'd "already addressed" it. He hasn't. He never has — back in 2016, his campaign gave reporters an even blunter answer: "You're not going to get an on-camera interview with Biggs."

THE COST OF WAR: The Washington Post reports American households are shelling out an extra $1,000 due to the war in Iran — a war Andy Biggs has voted four straight times to continue. That crushing burden comes on top of the $2,200 Arizonans already pay for goods and services because of Biggs' cost-hiking votes, which are driving grocery, gas, shipping, and living expenses to all-time highs.

BIGGS FLUNKS BIPARTISANSHIP: New rankings from Bridge Grades, a project of the non-profit Mediators Foundation, gave Andy Biggs a failing bipartisanship grade — and it wasn't close. He scored just 8.2 out of 100, the second-most partisan member of Arizona's delegation and among the 25 most partisan in the House. No surprise: Biggs admitted last month that "bipartisanship is probably not my number one goal" — after branding himself the "most pro-Trump Member of Congress."

That’s all for Copper State Chaos this week. Biggs can try to run from his record, but he can't hide. Copper State War Room will keep the receipts. Thanks for reading – we’ll be back next week to keep tabs on the chaos. Have a great weekend!
