Basement Biggs Is Becoming Impossible To Ignore
7/8/26, 7:30 PM
Arizona’s Family highlighted Andy Biggs’ pattern of skipping multiple Republican-organized primary debates, the latest outlet to point this out following a Monday KJZZ report labeling Biggs a “debate dodger.”
The coverage comes on the heels of Biggs’ second skipped forum in a row. Last week he was absent from the Sun City West Republican forum, after already ducking a televised PBS candidate forum. His absence didn’t go unnoticed — rival Scott Neely used the empty podium to direct voters to "The Biggs Files," an "alarming" record of votes Biggs has taken to protect sex traffickers and predators.
Even MAGA allies have piled on. One conservative radio host asked point-blank, "Are you sure Andy Biggs is running for governor? Because I'm not."
Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:
“Andy Biggs can dodge forums and press all he wants, but he can't dodge his extremist record, one his own party keeps holding up for voters to see. Arizona voters deserve answers from him about why he continues to back cost-hiking tariffs, refuses to condemn white supremacists and antisemites, and evades basic questions about his role in the January 6 insurrection.”
Read more about how Biggs continues to dodge basic questions on the issues Arizonans care about most:
When asked if he would repeal Prop 139’s right to abortion that Arizona voters overwhelmingly supported, Biggs’ campaign “did not directly address the question.”
Biggs has refused to answer if he supports a taxpayer-funded $1.8 billion January 6 slush fund, a priority of President Trump which could compensate convicted criminals in the insurrection Biggs helped plan.
When the Arizona Republic asked why Andy Biggs associated with white supremacists and antisemites, his campaign “did not answer a question” about it.
When asked to explain his admiration for Confederate General Robert E. Lee, Biggs declined to comment on camera.
After new audio surfaced of Biggs defending tariffs as “not inflationary,” Biggs "did not respond to a request for comment.”
When Arizona business owners warned tariffs were “clobbering” their companies and forcing them to raise prices, Biggs again “did not respond to a request for comment.”
After praising a Republican budget that cuts wildfire response and child safety services while giving tax breaks to billionaires, Biggs “wouldn’t elaborate.”
When asked whether Katie Hobbs beat Kari Lake in 2022, Biggs “wouldn’t say.”
And after being linked to efforts surrounding January 6, Biggs refused to comply with a congressional subpoena.
When asked to condemn Mark Lamb for disturbing allegations, Biggs “did not return a request for comment.”
