Andy Biggs Can’t Escape His Record of Siding With Cop-Beaters, Pedophiles, and Sex Traffickers

On Tuesday, in an attempt to provide “proof of life” for his "lackluster" campaign, Andy Biggs held a press conference on public safety, where reporters pressed him on his extreme record, which “raises some serious questions.”

When asked why he twice voted against awarding the Congressional Gold Medal to the police officers who defended the Capitol on January 6, Biggs blamed Democrats for politicizing the event. Biggs, who sought a presidential pardon and then ignored a congressional subpoena investigating the attack, has been credited as one of “the four guys who came up with a January 6 event,” according to chief organizer, Ali Alexander. In August, Biggs was caught and fact-checked after lying about his support for full blanket pardons of violent, cop-assaulting criminals.

Next, Biggs was asked why he blocked bipartisan legislation that would have protected underage girls from sexual abuse and forced child marriage under convicted child rapist and cult leader Warren Jeffs in Colorado City. Biggs answered: “That’s a lie!” before being immediately fact-checked by the Arizona’s Family anchor, who clarified that Biggs “controlled which bills came up for a vote and which ones didn’t.” Biggs’ fellow Republicans also said women and children "suffered three years longer than they should have because he [Biggs] protected the bad guys" and, as he previously admitted, "I was the Senate President. I knew what was going on." 

It's not the first time Biggs has lashed out when confronted with the facts. Last week, he lost his temper after being fact-checked for his continued attempts to run from his extremist, cost-hiking record.

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

“Andy Biggs is desperate to run from his record of standing with cop-beating rioters, shielding child predators, and raising gas prices, but Arizonans know who he is. No wonder Biggs’ campaign is flailing as more voters learn just how dangerous that record is.”
