BREAKING: Andy Biggs Admits He “Knew What Was Going On” in Colorado City but Killed the Bill That Could’ve Stopped Child Abuse
8/26/26, 1:30 PM
Andy Biggs was directly asked last night, after the Arizona Police Association's Public Safety Policy Forum, about his decision to block bipartisan legislation that would’ve protected underage girls in Colorado City from sexual abuse and forced child marriage under Warren Jeffs, a convicted child rapist and cult leader. Asked if he knew the abuse was happening at the time, Biggs confirmed that “I was the Senate President. I knew what was going on.”
That account is backed up by the facts: the Department of Justice found clear evidence of wrongdoing in Colorado City, and Colorado City survivors, statewide advocates, and Arizona voters are demanding he answer for why he chose to protect the people enabling abuse instead of the women and children who needed protection.
The admission comes just hours after the release of a mini-documentary-style video, “Red Line,” featuring survivor testimony, law enforcement accounts, and news footage detailing Biggs’ failure to protect women and children in Colorado City.
In addition to protecting the pedophile cult in Colorado City, Biggs has a long record of siding with predators, including voting against harsher penalties for child prostitution and opposing making sex offenders register when they move to Arizona. Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:
“Andy Biggs just admitted that he ‘knew what was going on’ in Colorado City, and yet he still chose to protect the people enabling a corrupt pedophile cult instead of the women and children who were being abused. That's disqualifying, and it's exactly why Arizonans can't trust Andy Biggs with their families' safety.”
