Five Days, Five Ways That Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson Are Out-of-Touch With Arizonans: Slashing Arizona Jobs

8/7/25, 12:00 PM

Copper State War Room is continuing its first full week of the “Five Days, Five Ways” press release series, spotlighting how Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson have failed Arizona. Day Four: Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson are all-in on an extreme and reckless budget that Arizona business leaders warn could trigger "recession-level consequences" and eliminate nearly 50,000 jobs statewide—one of the highest relative job losses of any state.

The budget threatens major projects, including the LG battery facility in Queen Creek, Lucid Motors in Casa Grande, and Heritage Recycling in Eloy, and will cause Arizonans’ energy prices to rise by over $200 per household.

Here’s what Arizona business leaders have said:

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

"Instead of listening to business leaders who are worried about how this disastrous budget hurts Arizona's economy, Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson have turned their backs on Arizona workers and job creators. Time and time again, they continue to put their own shameless opportunism ahead of what's best for Arizona families."Copper State War Room will continue highlighting five key ways Biggs and Taylor Robson are out of step with Arizona voters throughout the week. If you missed the earlier editions, you can find them here: Day One: Ripping Away Healthcare, Day Two: Raising Taxes, Hiking Costs, Day Three: Crippling Rural Healthcare.
