New Poll: Biggs, Taylor Robson, and Schweikert’s Cost-Hiking Healthcare Agenda Deeply Unpopular, Top of Mind for Voters

New polling data from KFF shows that the healthcare cuts and cost hikes that Andy Biggs, Karrin Taylor Robson, and David Schweikert are all backing is both deeply unpopular and a top issue for voters.
Specifically, the poll found that “Two-thirds of the public (66%) say they worry about being able to afford health care for them and their family” and “voters expect the issue to play a major role in their decisions to turnout in November’s midterm elections as well as which candidates they support.”
That’s bad news for Andy Biggs, Karrin Taylor Robson, and David Schweikert, who have championed their party’s partisan budget that stripped healthcare tax credits away from 423,000 Arizonans. And despite ACA marketplace plans jumping nearly 30 percent on average in Arizona, they all refused to join bipartisan calls to reverse the damage, with Biggs and Schweikert voting against lowering costs.
As a reminder, Biggs called the DC budget that is raising healthcare costs a “good thing,” and Taylor Robson celebrated it as a “huge win” and “historic." Not to be outdone, Schweikert bragged that he “co-wrote” this “historic” bill that raised healthcare costs for Arizona families while giving billionaires tax breaks.
Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:
“Healthcare costs are now the top economic concern for voters, putting the cost-hiking healthcare agenda backed by Andy Biggs, Karrin Taylor Robson, and David Schweikert in the spotlight. While Arizonans want leaders who will focus on lowering costs, all three GOP candidates need to explain why they continue to back a disastrous cost-hiking agenda that is ripping away care and making life more expensive for working families.”
