Five Days, Five Ways Andy Biggs and Kari Lake Share the Same Extreme Agenda, Day Three: Supporting the January 6 Insurrection
5/6/26, 6:00 PM
Copper State War Room is continuing its “Five Days, Five Ways” press release series, highlighting how Andy Biggs is carrying forward Kari Lake’s extreme and out-of-touch agenda. Day Three: Supporting the January 6 Insurrection.
Andy Biggs and Kari Lake have both aligned themselves with January 6 insurrectionists who violently attacked the U.S. Capitol, including law enforcement, and tried to overturn the will of Arizona voters.
According to Stop the Steal organizers, Biggs helped plan January 6 and worked with the White House to overturn the election. He pressured Arizona officials to decertify electors on the day of the attack. Afterward, he sought a presidential pardon and then ignored a congressional subpoena.
Lake told a January 6 insurrectionist at a campaign event that he “did nothing wrong.” That man had been sentenced for encouraging others to storm the Capitol and take a police officer’s shield. Lake has called the attack a “staged riot” and a “fedsurrection” and said rioters “should all be pardoned and more.”
Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:
“When our democracy was under attack, Andy Biggs and Kari Lake sided with violent extremists attacking cops and trying to overturn the votes of Arizonans. They ignored Arizona voters and chose conspiracy theories instead. Just like Lake, Biggs is unfit and will never be governor.”
Copper State War Room will continue to highlight five key ways Biggs is out of step with Arizona voters throughout the week. If you missed earlier editions, you can find them here: Day One: Election Denialism; Day Two: Banning Abortion.
