Copper State Chaos: Borders on Immoral, Andy Needs AI, and Exploring Higher Costs

Welcome to Copper State Chaos, Copper State War Room’s weekly recap on the fails, feuds, and full-blown chaos in the Arizona Republican gubernatorial primary.
With Andy Biggs and David Schweikert locked in a bitter race to the bottom, this primary is spiraling into an ugly, expensive mess. We’ll keep the receipts – so you don’t have to.
Don’t miss this week’s chaos:
BORDERS ON IMMORAL: Andy Biggs’ close political ally Mark Lamb has had a plethora of disturbing allegations come to light, including “sexual impropriety” and “threats and intimidation to suppress a history of sexting, nude photo-sharing and inviting intimate encounters outside his marriage.” When Biggs was pressed about this, after trying to say nothing, he refused to condemn it, choosing instead to “reserve judgment.” This absurd stance was called out by David Schweikert, who said Biggs “borders on immoral,” and said if Lamb isn’t willing to address the situation head-on, he should drop out of the race. Despite the allegations against Lamb, Biggs still prominently features an endorsement from Lamb on his campaign website and was introduced by Lamb at his campaign launch rally last year.
ANDY NEEDS AI: On Wednesday’s episode of The Conservative Circus, radio show host and Andy Biggs ally James Harris continued a streak of MAGA voices attacking Biggs for his weak, no-show campaign. A live caller and Biggs supporter asked: “Has anybody heard from Andy Biggs? Remember him?” Harris and his co-host even joked that Biggs may need to use AI to inject some energy into his campaign. This follows last week’s criticism by another allied radio host, Garret Lewis, who blasted Biggs for barely campaigning at all, saying, “You have to be out there,” and later adding, “I need to see that you want this, and I'm not the only one.” He also slammed Biggs’ latest campaign video as “horrible” and “so bad” that the campaign should “delete it” entirely.
EXPLORING HIGHER COSTS: This week, Andy Biggs doubled down on his support of Washington’s cost-hiking agenda, saying he supports tariffs, they are “very interesting,” and that he would like to “explore [tariffs] more… at the federal level.” Arizona families already paid an extra $2,200 for goods and services because of tariffs, and they don’t need Biggs “exploring” new ways to raise costs even higher. In April alone, grocery prices soared faster than any month in the last four years, and Arizona small businesses continue to reel from operating costs that are up to 900 percent higher. Biggs has called tariffs “a brilliant economic strategy” and argued that the tariffs were “not inflationary,” before claiming that Washington has “tamed inflation.”
That’s all for Copper State Chaos this week. Thanks for reading – we’ll be back next week to keep tabs on the chaos. Have a great weekend!
