What Arizonans Are Saying: Andy Biggs Is Too Extreme for Arizona

7/17/26, 8:00 PM

In a letter to the editor, one Arizona voter didn't mince words, writing that Andy Biggs is someone “one would have to look hard to find a more partisan Trump-supporting guy in Congress” — echoing what Biggs' own party has been warning for months: he's too consumed by partisan politics to deliver for Arizona.

He said as much himself earlier this month, telling a conservative podcast that "bipartisanship is probably not my number one goal." The self-proclaimed “most pro-Trump Member of Congress” has also voted against a long list of bipartisan bills, including legislation to lower housing costs for Arizona families and protect seniors from scammers and bad actors. In 2021, Andy Biggs was ranked as the 421st least bipartisan member of Congress, out of 435, by Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy.

Arizona Daily Star: Letter: Independents against Biggs for Governor

Dave Locey

July 16, 2026

  • Noticed Congressman Biggs is trying to pass himself off as nonpartisan when he runs against Governor Hobbs.

  • As an independent, and having watched Biggs for years, one would have to look hard to find a more partisan Trump supporting guy in Congress.

  • He was also one of the Republicans who tried to steal our votes by being one of the fake electors during the past election for President.

  • This was the Trump legal move in a number of states to change the election results, and change the result of the popular vote in AZ.

  • With a Republican House and Senate in AZ, I think we in Tucson are fortunate to have Governor Hobbs.

  • The partisan voting does not serve Tucson well!
