On Roe v. Wade Anniversary, Biggs, Taylor Robson, and Schweikert All Support a Total Ban on Abortion and Threaten IVF

1/22/26, 5:00 PM

Today, on the anniversary of the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, Andy Biggs, Karrin Taylor Robson, and David Schweikert are standing by their extremist views on ripping away reproductive freedoms, which include support for a total ban on abortion and the curbing of access to IVF, contraception, and family planning.

Read more about the Arizona GOP candidates’ extreme positions on women’s reproductive freedom:

  • Andy Biggs called reproductive care “barbaric” and “evil.” He supports a nationwide abortion ban and says banning abortion is his “number one issue.” He also cosponsored legislation to ban abortion nationwide and jeopardize access to IVF, while consistently celebrating anti-abortion rulings.

  • Karrin Taylor Robson pledged to enforce the 1864 total abortion ban, which threatened doctors with up to five years in prison, even after it was repealed with bipartisan support. She’s also supported abortion bans with no exceptions for rape or incest and wants doctors performing abortions to face criminal penalties. She personally funded efforts to defeat Prop 139, putting her on the losing side of Arizonans who voted strongly in favor of making reproductive freedom a constitutional right. Afterward, Taylor Robson was caught scrubbing her website of her extremist, anti-choice background.

  • David Schweikert cosponsored legislation to ban abortion nationwide six times, publicly supported the overturn of Roe v. Wade. Schweikert voted to restrict servicemembers’ access to abortion, and just yesterday, said he was “honored” to have an anti-choice record.

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

“No matter who makes it out of this GOP primary, Andy Biggs, Karrin Taylor Robson, and David Schweikert support an extreme agenda to ban abortion, jail doctors,  and force rape and incest survivors to give birth. These extremists are even threatening to strip away access to IVF and contraception. Arizonans have overwhelmingly rejected this agenda before and they will again this November.”
