NEWSMAX Host Reminds Andy Biggs That He Voted To Keep Gas Prices High

9/29/26, 4:00 PM

As the war in Iran becomes an increasing political liability, Andy Biggs was pressed on national television Monday about the gap between what he says about the war in Iran and how he has voted on it. NEWSMAX2's First Edition host Jon Glasgow confronted him directly: "You've stated publicly that you don't support the war in Iran, yet you've voted previously against congressional measures attempting to restrict presidential war powers." Biggs even refused to answer whether he supports “what President Trump is doing with Iran.”

The exchange comes days after Biggs lost his temper at reporters after they raised the same issue. After Biggs falsely claimed, "I don't support the war," and dared reporters to "tell me when I voted for it once," 12News, Arizona's Family, and the Arizona Capitol Times laid out the record: six votes against ending U.S. involvement in the war.

Meanwhile, Arizona diesel prices keep setting new records, squeezing families and hitting the state's trucking, shipping, and logistics industries especially hard. The war in Iran has cost the average Arizona household $1,650 so far, and the total is still climbing.

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

“Andy Biggs will say anything to get elected, but his votes tell the real story: six times, he voted against efforts to end U.S. involvement in the war in Iran. Arizona families and businesses are paying the price at the pump, and no amount of political spin can erase his record.”

Here are the six times Andy Biggs voted against efforts to end U.S. involvement in the war in Iran:
