Today, Copper State War Room launched a new digital advertising campaign highlighting Congressman David Schweikert's warning that voters can learn about Andy Biggs' record in just "five minutes on Google."
The Google Search ads follow a series of increasingly sharp attacks from David Schweikert on his primary opponent, Andy Biggs. The ads direct voters to publicly available reporting on Biggs’ record, associations, and controversies that Schweikert himself has highlighted on the campaign trail.
Here are samples of the ads below:
Schweikert has repeatedly raised concerns about Biggs' judgment and associations. Most recently, Schweikert criticized Biggs for refusing to disavow political ally Mark Lamb following allegations of "sexual impropriety" and "threats and intimidation," arguing that Biggs' response “borders on immoral."
Schweikert has also attacked Biggs for campaigning alongside white supremacist and antisemitic groups that Biggs refuses to disavow. Biggs previously invoked Confederate General Robert E. Lee as an example of how to respond to criticism before declining to comment further on the remarks.
Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado issued the following statement:
"David Schweikert said it best: spend five minutes on Google to learn about Andy Biggs' record. As Schweikert continues raising concerns about Biggs' record, these ads will ensure Arizonans know exactly what he is talking about."
