Fake Poll Numbers and Electability: Schweikert Scraps With Taylor Robson, Turning Point In Next Bout of Infighting

David Schweikert and his campaign continue to ramp up the attacks on Karrin Taylor Robson and Andy Biggs. In an interview on Wake Up Live, Schweikert said he’s “really disappointed” in Taylor Robson for cooking up “fake polling numbers,” comparing it to something an 18-year-old volunteer would do.
Schweikert also offered Taylor Robson some advice the next time she wants to release a fake poll, saying she should “come up with a name of a company that existed more than 20 hours before you decided to, so you go register a URL, a web address, and then put out numbers saying, ‘I'm now in the lead,’ and going, ‘Wow, that's amazing.’”
This follows his campaign issuing a scathing memo calling on Taylor Robson to drop out, branding her a “lobbyist,” “unelectable,” and the “antithesis of an outsider,” and claiming her “days as a viable candidate” have always been numbered.
Schweikert isn’t holding back the attacks for his other opponent, either. A consultant for Schweikert’s campaign attacked Turning Point, a major backer of Biggs’ campaign, citing their poor track record on “electability and candidates’ records,” a surefire nod to Schweikert’s previous criticism of Biggs as a “Twitter star” as opposed to a serious candidate.
Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:
“Andy Biggs, Karrin Taylor Robson, and David Schweikert are too busy fighting each other instead of fighting for Arizona families. As the punches get more personal, this primary is sliding toward an expensive, chaotic, and messy race to the bottom.”
