Copper State War Room Declares Winners of Tonight’s Debate
10/6/26, 10:00 PM
In response to tonight’s third-rate gubernatorial debate, Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado released the following statement:
“The clear winners of tonight’s debate were cult leader Warren Jeffs and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Andy Biggs once again refused to explain why he has repeatedly sided with pedophile ringleaders — from blocking bipartisan legislation intended to protect women and underage girls in Colorado City to refusing to sign the bipartisan petition to force a vote on releasing the Epstein Files.
“Andy Biggs cannot erase his dangerous record of siding with notorious pedophiles over their victims, and Arizonans deserve to know why he keeps doing it.”
Here’s how Biggs keeps siding with predators over victims:
Biggs has refused to sign the bipartisan discharge petition to force a House vote on the Epstein Files.
Biggs has repeatedly changed his explanation for blocking bipartisan legislation to protect underage girls in Colorado City from sexual abuse and forced child marriage under Warren Jeffs, a convicted child rapist and cult leader. In October 2025, Biggs said he could not remember the procedure surrounding HB2648. In August 2026, he said, “I was the Senate President. I knew what was going on.”
Biggs later claimed the bill was “too broad” and that “there was no move to amend it.” Then-Rep. John Kavanagh introduced a floor amendment narrowing the bill, undercutting Biggs’ claim that there was no effort to amend it.
Last week, Biggs denied blocking the legislation. When asked why he blocked the bill, Biggs responded, “That’s a lie!” An Arizona’s Family anchor noted that, as Senate President, Biggs controlled which bills came up for a vote.
But the facts haven’t changed, even as Biggs’ story has. The Arizona Capitol Times reported that Biggs assigned the bill to three separate committees, describing such a move as one “typically used by legislative leaders to sentence proposals to an early death.”
Biggs has also pointed to Warren Jeffs already being imprisoned as a reason the legislation was unnecessary. But the Arizona Capitol Times reported that Jeffs repeatedly attempted to exert control over his followers while imprisoned and that the Colorado City Marshals Office had “turned a blind eye to criminal activity involving FLDS Church leaders or members.”
