Copper State Chaos: Price of Admission; Biggs Fails Dignity Test; You Voted for This

The primary may be over, but the chaos isn't. This week, Andy Biggs once again showed Arizonans exactly who he is—and why he can't be trusted to put Arizona first.

PRICE OF ADMISSION: Six years after the 2020 election, Andy Biggs is still making election denialism a requirement of being part of his campaign. New reporting from Arizona's Family shows that when his own running mate, Sine Kerr, acknowledged who won Arizona in 2020, Biggs stepped in to enforce his extreme election denial agenda. Former Republican governors Jan Brewer and Doug Ducey have both defended Arizona’s elections. Brewer called Trump’s actions in Georgia “not constitutional” and “out of line,” and Ducey maintained that Arizona laws made it “easy to vote and hard to cheat.” Andy Biggs remains stuck in the same extreme election denialism that Arizonans have rejected time and again.

BIGGS FAILS DIGNITY TEST: In a letter to the editor, one of Andy Biggs’ constituents recounted a disastrous meeting with him, along with a group of other Republican and Independent women, in which Biggs dismissed their concerns and laughed them off. That lack of dignity shows up in his votes, too. Biggs blocked bipartisan legislation that would have protected girls as young as nine from sexual abuse and forced child marriage, choosing instead to protect a corrupt pedophile cult.

YOU VOTED FOR THIS: Last week, far-right media host Dan Ball pressed Andy Biggs on the rising prices, pointing to costs driven by the Iran conflict. Despite this, Biggs voted for the war in Iran for a fourth straight time just days earlier. He also voted to protect and expand the cost-hiking tariffs, causing grocery prices to hit all-time highs, and praised tariffs as “a brilliant economic strategy.” Biggs has claimed that there is "no inflation," said that the tariffs were “not inflationary,” and argued that Washington has “tamed inflation” and “brought everything back down.”
