Andy Biggs Says Mark Lamb Would "Do A Good Job" in Congress

In new comments yesterday on KTAR’s AZ Political Podcast, Andy Biggs said his top political ally and congressional candidate Mark Lamb, would "do a good job" replacing him in Arizona's 5th Congressional District. Asked directly whether he was comfortable leaving his constituents in Lamb's hands, Biggs said: "I think Mark Lamb will do a good job."

Lamb has a troubling history of alleged “sexual impropriety,” including “threats and intimidation to suppress a history of sexting, nude photo-sharing and inviting intimate encounters outside his marriage.”  

Despite mounting allegations, Biggs endorsed Mark Lamb, saying, “Mark will be a great member of the HFC [House Freedom Caucus].” Biggs has also refused to condemn Lamb, choosing instead to "reserve judgment" — a stance David Schweikert called "borders on immoral," adding that if Lamb isn't willing to address the situation head-on, he should drop out of the race.  

Lamb’s endorsement is still prominently featured on Biggs’ campaign website. Lamb also introduced Biggs at his campaign launch rally last year.  

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said: 

“Andy Biggs isn't just standing by Mark Lamb. He's now handing him a glowing review, even as more women come forward with disturbing allegations against him. It's the clearest sign yet of where Biggs' priorities lie: protecting his political allies, not the families of the East Valley.”
