Andy Biggs’ Tariff Agenda Results in 50 Percent Reciprocal Price Hikes From Canada

Andy Biggs' tariff agenda is hitting Arizonans again. Today, Canada's reciprocal tariffs on the United States took effect, the latest escalation in a trade war caused by Biggs and his cost-hiking tariff agenda.
Hundreds of products are now more expensive with tariffs upward of 50 percent, including steel, aluminum, agricultural and farm equipment, wood pulp, plywood, manufactured lumber, and much more. Arizona Technology Council CEO Steven Zylstra warned the tariffs could "ultimately increase costs for Arizona manufacturers and their customers," and Arizona's Family recently reported on the damage facing Arizona's agricultural exports and how farmers, particularly local leafy greens growers in Southern Arizona, are paying the price.
Despite the damage done to Arizona families, Biggs voted to protect Washington's tariffs, pushed to expand them further, and has even called them "a brilliant economic strategy." As Arizonans face rising costs on nearly everything they buy, Biggs has falsely claimed there is "no inflation," insisted the tariffs are "not inflationary," and argued Washington has "tamed inflation" and "brought everything back down."
Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:
“Farmers, small businesses, and working families keep paying the price for Andy Biggs' cost-hiking agenda, and he keeps defending the very policies making life more expensive for Arizonans.”
