“Slanderous, Defamatory Statements”: Biggs Unloads on Schweikert Over Questions About Extremist Ties

6/18/26, 10:00 PM

Less than 24 hours after last night's GOP primary debate, Andy Biggs escalated his increasingly bitter feud with David Schweikert.

On FOX10 Talks this morning, Biggs was forced to address Schweikert’s continued attacks on his extremist ties, painting them as one of the most “ludicrous, insane arguments ever,” and elaborating that Schweikert “knows that he's lying,” and was making “slanderous, defamatory statements.”

For the second time, Biggs refused to disavow the extremist groups he campaigned with, and said he failed to “do his homework” before associating with antisemites. Biggs also has invoked Confederate General Robert E. Lee as a role model for how to handle criticism, but when asked to expand on his admiration of Lee, Biggs declined to comment on camera.

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

“Washington politicians Andy Biggs and David Schweikert aren’t holding back in their attacks on each other in a primary that has become a full-blown ‘street fight.’ While they argue over Biggs' extremist associations and try to avoid answering for their toxic records, Arizona families are still paying higher prices because both candidates supported cost-hiking tariffs, healthcare cuts, and Washington policies that are making life more expensive.”
