Will Andy Biggs Get Compensated From the January 6 Slush Fund?

Arizonans deserve to know: Will Andy Biggs get a cut from Trump’s new taxpayer-funded January 6 slush fund?
Donald Trump’s Department of Justice has created a nearly $2 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund,” which could compensate convicted January 6 insurrectionists. Given Andy Biggs’ role in helping spearhead the violent insurrection, according to a January 6 organizer, Arizonans deserve answers.
When asked about this slush fund, David Schweikert said he was “very concerned about it.” However, Schweikert has spent years excusing the same extremists who could now benefit from this fund, arguing that January 6 insurrectionists had “no malice in their souls.”
There is no separating Andy Biggs from the January 6 insurrection he helped fuel. Biggs called “portions” of January 6 “a setup,” worked with the White House to overturn the election, and pressured Arizona officials to decertify electors on the day of the attack. Afterward, he sought a presidential pardon for his role in the insurrection and then ignored a congressional subpoena to avoid accountability for his actions.
Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:
“After helping fuel the insurrection, seeking a pardon for his role, and spending years defending criminals, Andy Biggs owes Arizonans an answer: does he support Trump’s new January 6 slush fund, and would he personally get a cut from it?”
