Six Questions Andy Biggs Must Answer at Tonight’s “Will Never Be Governor” Debate

10/6/26, 8:30 PM

Tonight, Andy Biggs will make a desperate attempt to revive his floundering campaign at the “Will Never Be Governor” debate. While Biggs fantasizes on stage about becoming governor, Arizonans know his real record: protecting pedophiles, raising costs on working families, and pushing dangerous election denial conspiracy theories.

With early voting starting tomorrow and just 28 days until Election Day, here are six questions Biggs must answer about his out-of-touch record:

  • You have a decades-long history of protecting pedophiles, including FBI’s Most Wanted cult leader Warren Jeffs and notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Why did you protect them? As Arizona Senate President, you blocked legislation shielding girls as young as nine from sexual abuse in Colorado City, Arizona. In Congress, you voted against releasing the Epstein Files.

  • Why did you vote against increasing child prostitution penalties? In 2007, as a state representative, you cast the lone vote against increasing criminal penalties for child prostitution, prompting the Arizona Republic to publish an article called “Biggs Puts Pimps, Johns Ahead Of Child Protection.”

  • Was the Iran War worth it, given how much Arizonans are paying for gas and everyday essentials? In June, you predicted the Iran conflict would end within a "few weeks." You voted six straight times to continue the war, as Arizonans face record-high gas and rising fuel costs tied to the war.

  • How do you defend your 23 percent sales tax proposal to Arizonans, already struggling with rising costs because of your votes in Washington? You have repeatedly cosponsored a 23 percent sales tax and called it your “biggest passion."

  • Will you commit to accepting the 2026 results if you lose? You have repeatedly declined to say whether Hobbs legitimately won in 2022, and haven't acknowledged Trump lost in 2020.
