One Year Ago, Andy Biggs Sided With Pedophiles and Sex Traffickers in Epstein Files

One year ago, Andy Biggs refused to sign a bipartisan discharge petition to force the release of the Epstein Files. The following day, Biggs voted to send the Epstein investigation back to committee, a move that would have delayed the release even further. This occurred two months after Biggs was one of only two members who voted against releasing the Epstein Files in committee, later dismissing accountability as a "gotcha game" and "PR stunt."

Biggs’ decades-long record of protecting pedophiles and sex traffickers includes blocking bipartisan legislation that would’ve protected underage girls in Colorado City from sexual abuse and forced child marriage under Warren Jeffs, a convicted child rapist and cult leader despite knowing what was going on. He was the lone "no" vote against a bill toughening penalties for child prostitution — a stance that prompted the Arizona Republic to run a piece titled "Biggs Puts Pimps, Johns Ahead Of Child Protection."

He also voted against tougher penalities for spousal rape and opposed requiring sex offenders to register when they move to Arizona.
