NEW REPORT: Biggs’ Tariffs Are Forcing Arizona Businesses To Gamble on the Holidays

Arizona businesses are being forced to order holiday inventory months earlier than usual to avoid the higher costs created by Andy Biggs’ tariff agenda. Instead of focusing on growing their businesses, retailers are tying up cash and taking on additional risk just to prepare for the holiday shopping season.

According to KTAR, Arizona State University supply chain professor Hitendra Chaturvedi says retailers began placing holiday orders as early as April and May in an effort to "beat the tariff.” He says businesses are "being very, very cautious" as they navigate the uncertainty created by the tariffs.

Yet Biggs continues defending the very agenda driving those higher costs and creating chaos for businesses. Biggs insists that there's "no inflation" as a result of the tariffs and has called tariffs "brilliant.” Rather than fighting to lower costs for Arizona businesses and families, he’s doubling down on policies that make it harder to plan, invest, and stay competitive.

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said: 

“Arizona businesses shouldn't have to gamble on the holiday season because Andy Biggs keeps doubling down on a cost-hiking tariff agenda. While retailers are scrambling to stay ahead of higher costs, Biggs is pretending the problem doesn't exist instead of fighting to lower prices for Arizona families."
