NEW: “Biggs Puts Pimps, Johns Ahead Of Child Protection”

8/14/26, 3:15 PM

New reporting from MeidasTouch spotlights how Biggs was the lone "no" vote against a bill toughening penalties for child prostitution — a stance that prompted the Arizona Republic to run a piece titled "Biggs Puts Pimps, Johns Ahead Of Child Protection."

This coverage comes as Biggs' decades-long record of siding with predators over their victims is coming to light. As Arizona Senate president, he blocked bipartisan legislation that would have protected girls as young as nine from sexual abuse and forced child marriage.

He was one of only two members who voted against releasing the Epstein files in committee, later dismissing accountability as a "gotcha game" and "PR stunt." Fellow Republican David Schweikert put it bluntly: Biggs "voted against protecting our children from really, really bad actors."

MeidasTouch News: Andy Biggs’ Bizarre History of Protecting Child Predators Comes to Light

  • MAGA Republican Representative and Arizona Gubernatorial candidate, Andy Biggs was the lone vote against a bill that increased criminal penalties for engaging in child prostitution, in a move that prompted the Arizona Republic to publish an article called “Biggs Puts Pimps, Johns Ahead Of Child Protection.”

  • But that vote was just one in a series of legislative moves by Biggs to protect child predators, up to and including his vote to keep the Epstein files from being released last year.

  • As a member of the Arizona House Natural Resources and Public Safety Committee, Biggs was the lone ‘No’ vote against the bill which passed his committee 9-1. The version of the bill that Biggs voted against in committee made it a Class 2 felony for a person to recruit, entice, harbor, transport, provide or obtain by any means another person under 18 years old with the intent of causing the other person to engage in prostitution.

  • It also expanded the offense of child prostitution to include knowingly engaging in or attempting to engage in prostitution with a minor, and stated that it is not a defense to a prosecution if at the time of the offense the defendant did not know and could not have reasonably known the age of the minor.

  • As a State Senator in 2013, Biggs blocked a vote on a bipartisan bill that would have given the state more enforcement power to target the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints, a polygamist religious cult in Colorado City, Arizona which was forcing girls as young as nine to marry adult men. The bill had passed the state House, but was buried by Biggs as the leader in the Senate. Republicans in the Senate and the Republican Attorney General were baffled by Biggs’ move.

  • “Women and children suffered three years longer than they should have because he protected the bad guys,” said Republican legislator Michelle Ugenti-Rita.

  • Then came Jeffrey Epstein. In Congress in 2025, Biggs was one of only two members of a House Subcommittee to vote against forcing the Department of Justice to release the Epstein files, despite campaigning on transparency in the global pedophilia case.

  • Biggs had been a conspiracy theorist for years espousing claims of a “deep state” of elites that were protecting a cabal of child sex traffickers. But as soon as Donald Trump was elected in 2024, Biggs suddenly went silent on the issue, calling Democrats’ efforts to seek justice in the case a “gotcha game” to try and discredit Trump.

  • Fellow Arizona Congressman David Schweikert, who lost the Republican Gubernatorial primary to Biggs, said he was too extreme for independent voters and slammed Biggs for repeatedly voting “against protecting our children from really, really bad actors.”

  • Biggs is known to be a right-wing extremist and conspiracy theorist who has succeeded in politics because he comes from one of the most solidly loyal Republican districts in the country. But his decision to run for Governor is bringing his decades old record to light; revealing that at multiple points in his career Biggs has opted to protect pedophiles rather than their victims.
