Mother’s Day Mayhem: Arizonans Pay the Price for Tariff Taxes Backed by Biggs and Schweikert

Arizona families celebrating Mothear’s Day this weekend were met with higher costs at the gas pump, grocery store, and checkout line — a painful reminder of the cost-hiking agenda championed by Andy Biggs and David Schweikert.
Small businesses across Arizona are already warning that these rising costs are being passed directly on to consumers. According to a recent FOX10 report, the Arizona Flower Market, one of the Valley's busiest small businesses, was forced to raise their prices by $5 to $10 “due to the gas, tariffs… everything that we’ve gotten hit with this year.”
Arizonans have not forgotten that both Andy Biggs and David Schweikert have supported the war and policies keeping gas prices on the rise. Biggs has called tariffs “a brilliant economic strategy” and argued that the tariffs were “not inflationary,” before claiming that Washington has “tamed inflation.” Schweikert bragged about personally “doing the calculations” with the White House on tariffs and proposed his own new tax instead of offering Arizonans relief.
Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:
“Mothers deserve relaxation on their special day, but Andy Biggs and David Schweikert are delivering nothing but anxiety at the pump and the checkout lane. Their devotion to reckless tariffs and Washington’s cost-hiking agenda has turned Mother’s Day into the mother of all price hikes.”
