Longest Government Shutdown in History but Biggs, Taylor Robson, and Schweikert Refuse To Stand Up for Arizonans

11/7/25, 6:30 PM

Today marks the 38th day of the now-longest government shutdown in U.S. history. While Arizona families suffer with higher healthcare costs and meals ripped away from them, Andy Biggs, Karrin Taylor Robson, and David Schweikert continue to sit on their hands – refusing to stand up for Arizonans.

Because of their inaction, healthcare premiums are skyrocketing, travelers are facing chaos at airports, and 900,000 Arizonans could be unable to put food on the table.

Neither Biggs, Taylor Robson, nor Schweikert has had the courage to speak up for Arizonans who are paying the price while they do nothing. Earlier this year, all three backed the largest cuts to Medicaid and SNAP in Arizona’s history, gutting lifelines for working families to pay for tax breaks for billionaires.

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

“During the longest shutdown in U.S. history, Arizona families are losing healthcare and food, and life keeps getting more expensive because Andy Biggs, Karrin Taylor Robson, and David Schweikert abandoned Arizona to put their own party’s extreme politics in Washington first.”
