Copper State War Room Releases Wanted Poster Asking Why David Schweikert Isn’t Speaking at Trump Rally in His Own District

Copper State War Room is looking for Republican gubernatorial candidate David Schweikert, the only Republican in Arizona’s congressional delegation not slated to speak at Donald Trump’s rally on Friday, despite the event taking place in his own district.
Schweikert has made his ties to Trump a central part of his campaign. Schweikert said he talks with the White House “every other day” and took credit for “doing the calculations on the tariffs.” In his first campaign ad, he took credit for co-authoring the partisan budget that skyrocketed the debt and is stripping Arizonans of their healthcare, calling it “historic.” He also doubled down to brag that he voted with Trump 100 percent of the time.

Copper State War Room spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:
“David Schweikert has built his campaign around his relationship with Donald Trump, so Arizonans deserve to know: if he’s so proud of it, where is he? When Trump comes to his own district, is Schweikert absent, or was he never invited in the first place?”
