Andy Biggs' Latest Attack Crosses the Line — Will Taylor Robson and Schweikert Condemn It?

Yesterday, Arizona Republican Andy Biggs was caught comparing Democrats to domestic terrorists in an interview reported by Arizona’s Family, stating that Democrats “are political terrorists just like they are domestic terrorists.”

While abhorrent, this comment follows a pattern from Andy Biggs of inciting and excusing political violence.

• In 2023, Andy Biggs said, “We have now reached a war phase,” promoting calls for political violence.

• Biggs helped organize the January 6 insurrection to overthrow a free and fair election, and then defied a congressional subpoena to account for it.

As one Republican political analyst said, Biggs’ comments are “well beyond the pale of what is common sense and decency.” 

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

“Andy Biggs’ comments are dangerous and disqualifying. It is shameful and irresponsible for any elected official to label their fellow Americans ‘domestic terrorists.’ David Schweikert and Karrin Taylor Robson owe Arizonans an answer: will they condemn this reckless rhetoric, or continue enabling it?”
