Ahead of Key House Vote, Arizona Democrats Call on Biggs, Taylor Robson, and Schweikert to Stop Protecting Pedophiles and Support Releasing the Epstein Files

Today, the Copper State War Room held a virtual press conference led by Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari and Senate Leader Priya Sundareshan. The Arizona Democratic leaders condemned Andy Biggs, Karrin Taylor Robson, and David Schweikert for supporting the federal cover-up of the Epstein files and their refusal to join nationwide, bipartisan demands to protect victims of child sexual abuse and trafficking ahead of a critical House vote to release the files.
Andy Biggs voted against a bipartisan majority to subpoena the Epstein files, reversing his previous claim of supporting transparency. Karrin Taylor Robson callously dismissed releasing the files as merely a “distraction” and said that she “stand[s] with what President Trump has said,” choosing her own political ambition over transparency and justice for victims. David Schweikert joined Biggs by voting against releasing the Epstein files. The entire Arizona GOP refuses to sign the upcoming discharge petition to force transparency.

“The contrast between Arizona Democrats and Arizona Republicans could not be more stark… They [Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson] spend more time fighting over who talks to Donald Trump on the phone more than fighting to protect Arizona’s children from predators. That is not the leadership that Arizona deserves,” said Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari.
“Arizona needs leaders who will fight for transparency, demand accountability from the powerful, and put the safety of our children before politics,” said Senate Democratic Leader Priya Sundareshan. “Andy Biggs, David Schweikert, and Karrin Taylor Robson failed this test of leadership.”
