“Hefty Tariffs” Keep “Driving Up Prices” Thanks to Andy Biggs, Karrin Taylor Robson, and David Schweikert

According to a recent Arizona’s Family report, Arizonans are shouldering the brutal price hikes from federal tariffs that Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidates Andy Biggs, Karrin Taylor Robson, and David Schweikert continue to back in full.
The new report cites data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which found major inflation among food items as a result of “hefty tariffs,” including coffee spiking 22 percent and ground beef following at 17 percent. This past December, grocery prices saw the single largest monthly increase since the pandemic, and a recent study found tariffs cost Arizona families $310 more in 2025.
Biggs called the tariffs “a brilliant economic strategy.” Taylor Robson and Schweikert have also backed these tariffs in full, and Schweikert even bragged about “doing the calculations” with the White House on tariffs. All three candidates continue to ignore Arizona families and business owners across the political spectrum who shoulder the ever-increasing costs resulting from this disastrous economic policy.
Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:
“Andy Biggs, Karrin Taylor Robson, and David Schweikert don’t care about how these chaotic tariffs are squeezing Arizonans, whether that’s shopping at the grocery store or running a small business. Instead, Biggs, Taylor Robson, and Schweikert are doubling down on their cost-hiking agenda, while Arizona families pay the price.”
