As Trump Revives 2020 Election Denial, Biggs Still Won’t Answer For His Own

7/16/26, 7:00 PM

As President Trump revives baseless claims that the 2020 election was stolen tonight, Andy Biggs’ own election denialism is defining his gubernatorial campaign.

From refusing to acknowledge who won Arizona’s 2022 gubernatorial election to continuing to deny the results of the 2020 presidential election, Andy Biggs has repeatedly shown he cannot be trusted to accept the will of Arizona voters.

Copper State Victory spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado said:

“Andy Biggs has spent years denying election results and undermining the very process he's now asking voters to trust him with. Arizonans deserve better than a candidate who dodges basic questions about who won their elections and his own role on January 6.”

Read more about Biggs' extreme election-denying record and how it puts him fundamentally out of step with Arizona voters:

  • After Trump’s FBI subpoenaed Arizona’s electoral records from 2020 this past March, the Arizona Republic wrote that Biggs believes “another review of the extensively reviewed 2020 election was needed.”

  • Multiple reviews under the past two administrations “found no credible evidence calling the 2020 election into question,” and Trump’s top election security official previously hailed Arizona’s 2020 election as “the most secure in American history.”

  • Former Republican governors Jan Brewer and Doug Ducey have both defended Arizona’s elections. Brewer called Trump’s actions in Georgia “not constitutional” and “out of line,” while Ducey maintained that Arizona laws made it “easy to vote and hard to cheat.”

  • According to Stop the Steal organizers, Biggs helped plan January 6 and worked with the White House to overturn the election. He pressured Arizona officials to decertify electors on the day of the attack. Afterward, he sought a presidential pardon and then ignored a congressional subpoena.
